Ajanta Caves: Ajanta Caves are presently in Aurangabad District of Maharashtra. They are Buddhist Cave monuments. They were carved out from 2nd Century BC (BCE) to 480 AD (CE). They also include paintings. The subject of the sculptures and paintings are on the life of Buddha. Similar cave art is found at Ellora also. The monuments were made during Satvahana and Vaktaka period.
Ajanta Cave is now a UNESCO Heritage site.
अजंता की गुफाएं: अजंता की गुफाएं वर्तमान में महाराष्ट्र के औरंगाबाद जिले में हैं। वे बौद्ध गुफा स्मारक हैं। उन्हें दूसरी शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व (बीसीई) से 480 ईस्वी (सीई) तक तराशा गया था। इनमें पेंटिंग भी शामिल हैं। मूर्तियों और चित्रों का विषय बुद्ध के जीवन से सम्बन्धित है। इसी तरह की गुफा कला एलोरा में भी पाई जाती है। स्मारक सातवाहन और वाकटाक काल के दौरान बनाए गए थे।
अजंता गुफा अब यूनेस्को की विरासत स्थल है।
ਅਜੰਤਾ ਗੁਫਾਵਾਂ: ਅਜੰਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁਫਾਵਾਂ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਔਰੰਗਾਬਾਦ ਜ਼ਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਬੋਧੀ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦੂਜੀ ਸਦੀ ਈਸਾ ਪੂਰਵ (ਬੀਸੀਈ) ਤੋਂ 480 ਈਸਵੀ (ਸੀਈ) ਤੱਕ ਉੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਫਾ ਕਲਾ ਏਲੋਰਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਸੱਤਵਾਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਕਟਕ ਕਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਅਜੰਤਾ ਗੁਫਾਵਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ।
